One of my favorite things about yoga is that there is always something new to learn every time I come to the mat – whether it is an asana I haven’t done before, finding ease in a previously difficult posture or the realization that downward dog really can be a resting pose! I started my yoga practice in 2002 as the ‘stretching’ part of my fitness regime. After a few years of on-again off-again practice I began to notice how very different I felt during the times I was practicing regularly and it clicked — I was more confident, felt physically and mentally better, was more connected to my inner self and more engaged in my community. I began teaching yoga in 2007 and after a five year hiatus, during which I became mom to two beautiful girls, I finished my Gaiatri 200-hour teacher training in 2012. Over the years I have practiced many different styles of yoga and bring those influences to the classes I teach. I am blessed to be a part of Eileen’s yoga community and look forward to spending more time dedicating my energy to the amazing practice of yoga.
